Founded in 2011 as a sister restaurant to the famous Zozo's, the goal of Sam & Jack's Deli has always been to provide a fresh, gourmet and affordable dining option for local St. John residents and tourists alike. Named after the original owner's two sons, Sam & Jack's has always been a family-oriented place where a welcoming smile is the rule, not the exception.
What began with simple sandwiches and salads has grown to include a full menu of gourmet comfort food, grab n' go dinners, affordable fine wines, sinful desserts and wedding cakes from our in-house bakery, complete catering services and even equipment rental.

Leaving the New England winters behind for good, owner Erik purchased the Deli in 2013 as part of a larger effort to simplify (or complicate!) life. Although his background is in the corporate world as a civil engineer, his passions have always been food, wine, travel and, predictably (or maybe sadly!), hard work! Seizing on the opportunity to be his own boss in Paradise, he quit his job, sold his house and bought a one-way ticket to the Caribbean. Never looking back (it's cold up there), Erik and his team of island family continue to live the dream, hit the beach on Sunday's, clean up after the occasional hurricane, and push the envelope of what a deli can be.
